How clipping
payouts work.
Clipping only pays if you know when the money arrives and how the amount is worked out. Here is how it works on Navo, from the first view to the payout.
01The payout cycle
Navo pays in fixed periods of 14 days. A period ends on a Sunday. We then lock the amounts and send the money by the Friday after. You get an email when your payout is locked and another when it is sent, and every payout with its reference is listed under My clips.
The minimum payout is $5. If you have earned less than that when a period is locked, the amount carries over to your next payout. Nothing is lost.
A clip goes through four stages before it reaches a payout: you submit the link, it is reviewed against the campaign brief (usually within 48 hours), it is approved, and its verified views are counted until the period closes.
02How the amount is worked out
It depends on how the campaign pays. On a pay per view campaign, each approved clip earns a fixed rate per 1,000 verified views, sometimes up to a maximum per clip. On a creator pool campaign, a share of the campaign’s profit is split by each clipper’s share of the views in the period.
| Campaign | Example | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Pay per view | $0.75 per 1,000 views, 80,000 verified views | $60 |
| Pay per view with a minimum | “Counts from 10,000 views”, your clip has 8,000 | $0, since it is below the minimum |
| Creator pool | $1,000 pool, you drive 25% of the views | $250 |
Examples only, to show the maths. The real rate or pool is shown on each campaign.
03Why the number moves
A pay per view clip keeps earning for 30 days after you post it. Each payout pays what the clip has earned since the last payout, so a clip posted late in a period is not cut short. We update the views on your clips at least every 12 hours, so the number in Navo can lag a little behind what the app shows. On a creator pool campaign, a clip’s amount stays an estimate until the period closes, because it depends on the whole pool.
Only verified views count. Bought or botted views never do, and they can get an account suspended.
04Set up your payout details first
Add your legal name, address and either PayPal or a crypto address under Profile, then Payout details. If you pick crypto, check the address and the network twice: a wrong address or network cannot be recovered. We email you every time your payout details change, so you can report it straight away if it was not you.
05What can delay a payout
- Missing payout details. No details, no transfer.
- A clip still in review when the period is locked. It is paid with the next payout.
- Less than $5 earned. The amount carries over.
- Payout details changed in the last 7 days. We hold the payout briefly to make sure the change was yours.
- A campaign budget that has run out. Pay per view campaigns end when the budget is used. Clips are paid in the order they were approved.
- Views that fail a check. Unusual view spikes can be held while we look at them.
06Questions
How often does Navo pay?
Every two weeks. A 14-day period ends on a Sunday, and the money is sent by the Friday after. The minimum payout is $5, and smaller amounts carry over.
How do I get paid?
By PayPal or crypto (USDC, BTC or ETH). You add your details under Profile, then Payout details.
Does Navo take a fee from my payout?
No. Joining is free and no fees are taken from your payouts.
Why are my views lower than in TikTok or Instagram?
Only verified views count, and the numbers are updated at least every 12 hours, so they can lag behind the app for a while.
