UGC job types,
and how each one pays.
“UGC jobs” covers very different work: opening a parcel on camera, selling live for two hours, or posting a short video on your own account. They pay in different ways and ask for different things. This guide goes through the main types so you can pick the one that fits you.
01The five types at a glance
| Type | What you do | How it usually pays |
|---|---|---|
| Unboxing | Open and try a product the brand sends you | A flat fee per video, sometimes with the product as part of the pay |
| Shoppable video | A short video with a product link viewers can buy from | Often a commission on sales, sometimes with a flat fee on top |
| Livestream | Present or sell products live for a set time | Often hourly, a commission on sales, or both |
| Flat-fee video | Film a video the brand runs on its own account or in ads | A fixed price per video, agreed up front |
| Per-view campaign | Post on your own account and submit the link | A rate per 1,000 verified views |
“Usually” and “often” are on purpose. Every brand and platform sets its own terms, so read the brief before you film.
02Unboxing UGC jobs
A brand ships you a product and you film yourself opening it, showing it and giving a first reaction. The brand usually gets the file and posts it on its own channels or uses it in ads.
- You need an address the brand can ship to, good light and a clean surface to film on.
- Good to know: ask before you start whether you keep the product, how many retakes are included and where the video will be used.
03Shoppable video UGC jobs
A shoppable video has a product link attached, so people can buy without leaving the app. Your pay often depends on what sells, not on how many people watch.
- You need a shop or affiliate feature on your account. Whether you can get one depends on your country, the platform and sometimes your follower count.
- Good to know: a video can get many views and still earn little if few people buy. Check the commission rate and how returns are handled.
04Livestream UGC jobs
You go live to present or sell products, on your own account or on the brand’s. A session is often one to several hours, and brands tend to want a regular schedule.
- You need a stable connection, a quiet place and the energy to talk for a long time without a script.
- Good to know: agree the hours, the pay and who answers customer questions before the first stream.
05Per-view campaigns, the type Navo runs
On Navo a UGC campaign gives you a reference video and a brief. You film your own version, post it on your own TikTok, Reels, Shorts or X and submit the link. You are paid for the verified views on that post.
- You need to be 18 or older, have an account you can post to, and be able to get paid by PayPal or crypto.
- No pitching. You do not send a portfolio or wait to be picked. You choose a live campaign and post.
- What it pays: Navo’s own UGC campaigns pay up to $3 per 1,000 verified views, unless the campaign sets a max per clip. Brand campaigns show their own rate or creator pool.
Example: at $3 per 1,000 verified views, a video with 50,000 verified views earns $150. Each campaign shows its own rate and any max per clip.

06How to choose
- You want a known amount per video: flat-fee or unboxing work.
- You already sell well on camera: shoppable video or livestream, where pay follows sales.
- You want to start today with the account you have: a per-view campaign.
Many creators do more than one. The skills carry over: say the point first, face the light and keep the phone close.
